Health
A typical day at the office: you rush to work without breakfast, by the time of morning tea you have already had a third cup of coffee, and if you decide to take a morning break, a big one could use a cup of creamy latte with cake. When it's time for lunch, you quickly grab something without thinking. After lunch, you feel tired and have a snack again.
So welcome to the fast-paced business lifestyle, where poor nutrition and high levels of stress turn you into a tired, sick person, or maybe even well-fed.
So how can you improve your diet at work?
1. Don't skip breakfast
You've heard this before, but this time you should heed this advice. If you don't feel hungry after waking up or just don't have enough time, why don't you think about your breakfast at work? Many offices have refrigerators and microwaves, and you can have breakfast in the break room.
2. Put fruit in the bag
Get in the habit of eating a few fruits a day. Put the fruits side by side and make it your goal to eat them before the end of the day. This will significantly improve your diet and health and keep you from snacking the wrong way.
3. Get out of the office
Don't sit in the office all day. Plan to go out at lunchtime to take a walk, ventilate, and find time for lunch. If you plan this time in advance, you won't be faced with unexpected meetings and assignments.
4. Replenish your workplace supplies
Most people eat what's in front of their eyes. Once there's something to chew on, any meal is just right. And if you make healthier choices, you'll eat better. You can stock up on bags of nuts, small jars of tuna or salmon, cereal crackers, or whole wheat tortillas. If the office has a refrigerator, you can put hummus, cottage cheese, and even sliced pieces of meat in it. This way you will have enough food to make yourself a snack or even lunch.
5. Replace coffee with tea
What can you say about coffee? Probably our entire civilization would have collapsed without this drink. However, some people consume too much coffee during the workday and feel tired by the end of the day, not realizing that coffee may be to blame. You can alternate coffee with green tea or herbal tea with lemon and you'll feel better.
6. Have a snack before dinner
If you've had lunch around 1 p.m. and dinner is scheduled around 7 p.m., that's too long a break. Instead of starving yourself out and then pouncing on huge portions at dinner, better grab a snack between lunch and dinner. And don't be afraid to leave food for dinner. Most of us are used to eating well for dinner, which is not the healthiest habit.
