Photographer Miguel Pereira posted an amazing video of divers swimming with a moon-fish near Santa Maria Island in Portugal.
The video shows how small divers are compared to these swimming giants.
The common moonfish (Mola mola) is the largest bone fish in the world and can weigh up to 2,268 kg.
Large representatives reach more than 4 meters in height and more than 3 meters in length.

Despite their impressive size, these cute giants are completely harmless to humans.
The moonfish got their truncated bullet-shaped shape because the back fin they are born with simply never grows. It simply folds up as the fish get older, creating a round, false caudal fin.

Moonfish live in temperate and tropical oceans around the world. They often bask in the Sun on the surface, and are often mistaken for sharks when a huge dorsal fin appears above the water.
The fish's teeth merge into a beak-like structure, which is why its relatively small mouth does not completely close.
Sometimes moonfish can be so infected with skin parasites that they attract small fish and even birds to feast on these annoying creatures.
They themselves feed mainly on jellyfish, and sometimes on small fish, zooplankton and algae.
