There is a legend about the long-lost “White City” or “God's City of Apes”.
A group of experts who searched the Honduran rainforest discovered a lost city a few days ago. Nobody knew about this place at all, according to National Geographic.
Ancient civilization
Most likely, this is the legendary Ciudad Blanca (White City). Archaeologists suggest that there are many such cities hidden by this rainforest. Together, cities represent an entire civilization that has perished.

This finding indicates that an unknown civilization that appears to have flourished thousands of years ago has disappeared.
Among the remains found are earth pyramids, burial mounds, large squares, sculptures and ritual sites. The city probably existed between 1000 and 1400.
The ancient civilization is quite unique. Archaeological work is currently underway. The hunt for the White City began with a written mention of it in 1526 by Hernan Cortez to King Charles V of Spain.
The mystery of civilization
It is known that in 1940, researcher Theodore Mord came out of the Mosquitia jungle with a huge number of White City artifacts, but after a while he committed suicide without telling anyone about the location of the city and the mystery of civilization.

Documentary filmmakers discovered the city's likeness initially using a special scan of the Honduran jungle back in 2012 (the location remains a secret).
