In recent years, the number of people suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) has increased worldwide. In this condition, people feel constantly depressed and tired.
Although CFS affects people more than multiple sclerosis, lupus, or various forms of cancer, doctors are still unable to determine the exact cause of the syndrome.
This condition occurs in people of different ages and income levels, different ethnic and racial groups. It is known that women suffer from it 4 times more often than men. Let us list the most common symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome.
Symptoms of chronic fatigue
1. You feel tired all the time

It's normal to feel tired at times after a busy day at work, and household chores are also energy consuming. At night, the body will regain strength. But, if after 8-9 hours of sleep you still wake up tired, and this happens day in and day out, your fatigue becomes chronic. The degree of fatigue is so high that you do not have the energy to spend a normal day at work. You don't have the energy to talk to colleagues normally and at the end of the day you feel completely devastated.
2. You have trouble sleeping

About 80% of people with chronic fatigue syndrome report trouble sleeping. Despite the fact that you are very tired and literally fall asleep as you go to bed, you are surprised to find that falling asleep is not so easy. And you slept anxious and often woke up. And when you wake up, it feels like you haven't been to bed.

3. It's hard to concentrate

People think that chronic fatigue syndrome is just tiredness. This is temporary and will pass. But there are other symptoms that indicate that it is CFS. This is absent-mindedness, lack of concentration, forgetfulness. Patients with CFS compare this condition to passing through deep fog. They can't concentrate on anything; their brains are just as tired as their bodies.
4. You are overwhelmed by any activity

It doesn't matter if you go for a walk, discuss the upcoming holidays with your relatives – any emotional or physical stress makes you feel like you've gone through three world wars. Any tension, however light, makes you feel completely exhausted.

5. It's hard to even stand

When you have chronic fatigue syndrome, it is difficult for you to even be in an upright position. I always want to lie down. Experts are not sure why this happens, and one theory says that people with CFS experience a condition called orthostatic intolerance. Blood that continues to circulate in the body cannot adequately supply the brain and other organs with oxygen and nutrients.

6. You're experiencing pain all over your body

Many people with chronic fatigue complain of recurring pain, headaches, joint and muscle pain, and even sore throat. Often there are no external signs, such as redness and swelling. It's just pain that goes deep into your joints and muscles. Medicine has not yet been able to fully explain why this is happening.
The exact causes of CFS have not yet been established. But there are several risk factors that can trigger the syndrome. Wrong lifestyle, frequent depression and stress, disturbed ecology, chronic diseases.
It is easier to prevent the disease than to treat it. There are several recommendations for the prevention of CFS. Lead a proper lifestyle, give up bad habits, smoking and eating fast food, exercise, set a daily routine, change your environment, and if necessary, work. Live in harmony with nature and yourself. But, if you have been diagnosed with CFS, start treatment, do not expect that it will go away by itself. Follow all your doctor's recommendations and stay healthy.
