Galician Museum of the Sea
This museum boasts one of the largest permanent exhibitions in Vigo. Although temporary exhibitions are held here regularly, they are always thematically related to the sea and fishing. The Museum of the Sea is a great place to learn more about the maritime history of the region in general and Vigo in particular.

The Quiñones de Leon Museum
The Vigo Municipal Museum is the best (and even free) place to explore the culture, art and traditions of Galicia. It occupies a magnificent authentic mansion on the territory of the Castrelos Park. The museum has a total of 29 halls dedicated to permanent exhibition.

MARCO Museum of Modern Art in Vigo
This museum, abbreviated to MARCO, can be considered one of the best contemporary art museums in Spain. Meanwhile, there is no permanent collection in it: the museum works exclusively on temporary exhibitions.

The Cies Islands
This amazing archipelago is located opposite the coast of Pontavedera and the mouth of the Vigo River. It was declared a nature reserve in 1980, and since 2002, the Atlantic Islands of Galicia National Park belongs to its territory.

Vigo Old Town
Vigo’s old town is small, and it won’t take too long to get around it entirely. Expect to make a circle about 1.5 km long on it in an hour and a half — and you won’t make a mistake. It should be noted that the Old Town is almost entirely ascents and descents with and without stairs.
