Valentine's Day is just around the corner.
Couples in love are looking forward to the holiday, planning gifts and a cultural program for February 14 in advance.
Surprisingly, there are also those who do not celebrate this holiday, considering it useless, unnecessary and absolutely insignificant. They urge others to also ignore February 14 or treat it like a normal day of the week.
Here are 8 good reasons NOT to CELEBRATE Valentine's Day:
Don't celebrate February 14th

If you and your significant other are really in love, then your love doesn't need just one day to prove how you feel.
True love grows and develops every day all year round. It is for this reason that some sensible couples stubbornly ignore the so-called day of love, treating it no more than an ordinary day on the calendar.
And you need to express love to your partner 365 days a year.
Sometimes accidentally spending time together is much more significant and more expensive than today's fashionable and forced Valentine's Day.

Valentine's Day is an ordinary workday that at some point was simply turned into a source of profit by those who benefit from it.
You don't have to spend money on gifts that don't put a lot of feeling into. Such gifts include inflated flowers, hearts, plush toys, candies, postcards (so-called valentines) with standard inscriptions.
The power of love between two people should not be based on how much money is spent on February 14th. It might be better to spend less money but spend more time together.

By not celebrating this holiday, you avoid the crowds and the many traffic that are inevitable during the holidays.
Celebrating this popular holiday means that on February 14, cafes and restaurants will be filled with crowds of couples in love.
Agree, there is nothing less romantic than being surrounded by a large number of people at a time when you want to be alone with your soulmate.

Valentine's Day is often used to cover up real relationship problems.
But you must admit that it is not entirely correct to use a holiday of dubious origin and dubious importance to make up for some mistakes that are regularly made by one of sweethearts.
By and large, couples should do this (make amends and correct their mistakes) on their own and without reminding them that tomorrow is Valentine's Day.
Forced gifts will not fix the situation or improve relations.

Often, everything about Valentine's Day tells single people how bad it is to be without a couple.
Society imposes stereotypes on us that in order to be successful and happy, a person must have a second half.
However, in fact, often having a partner creates only the appearance of happiness.
In fact, people in relationships often need to find time for themselves and to express themselves.
Celebrating Valentine's Day is a real curse for single people.
This holiday automatically creates pressure on those who do not have a relationship and a loved one.
Agree, when it is customary to give your soulmate plush toys, bouquets of flowers and other gifts, anyone who falls out of this rule will feel like an outcast.

Valentine's Day celebrations often turn into an ordinary drinking party with friends, rather than a romantic dinner with your soulmate.
So maybe you should give up another party with friends, under the guise of such a romantic occasion.

Historically, celebrating Valentine's Day is a celebration of Valentine's death. Agree, celebrating someone's death is at least illogical.
Also, celebrating Valentine's Day is religiously unethical.
After all, the church calls for any extramarital relationship to be prohibited regardless of how you feel about each other.
And if, for example, we celebrate Christmas and Easter (church holidays), then you will agree that it is somehow illogical to celebrate a holiday that is questionable in relation to the church.

And finally, the last argument put forward by opponents of Valentine's Day is simple… expensive!
Yes, as a rule, flowers on February 14 are sold at an inflated price, not to mention other gifts. Therefore, if your income is below average, buying gifts can significantly hit your pocket.
