According to a Japanese legend, there was once a happy man in the world who received invaluable knowledge from his father — knowledge about the point of longevity or the point from 100 diseases.

Following his father's advice, the son began massaging this point daily and lived to see the birth and death of several emperors.

By the way, point massage is one of the oldest methods of treatment in the East, which has been used for thousands of years.

In total, the human body has 365 points and 12 main meridians, which corresponds to the number of days and months per year.

Acupressure — pressing your fingers on specific points, is based on the theory of meridians and channels that are connected to certain organs.

In Chinese medicine, the body is seen as an energy system, and massage affects the energy flow and functional activity of our organs.

It is known that stimulating the Tzu-san-li point (ST 36) leads to complete rejuvenation and healing and delays old age. In China, this point is called the “longevity point”, and in Japan it is called the “point of 100 diseases”.

How to find the Tzu-san-li longevity point?

The longevity point is located under the knee. To find it, cover your knee with your palm on the same side, and the point will be located between the tips of your little finger and ring finger in the form of a small cavity between the bones.

You can also find it in another way.

Sit on the floor and press your feet into the floor and stretch over yourself without lifting your heels off the floor. You will notice a slight elevation under your knee. Find the highest point and place your finger on it. This is Zu-san-li.

What is this point responsible for and why is it called the 100 disease point?

It is responsible for the functioning of organs located in the lower part of the body.

The point regulates the functioning of the spinal cord in those places that are responsible for the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, genital organs, kidneys and adrenal glands.

By massaging Tzu-san-li, you increase the activity of the adrenal glands, the strongest glands that protect human health.

They produce adrenaline, hydrocortisone, and other important hormones.

By stimulating the longevity point daily, it is possible to improve the functioning of the adrenal glands, which perform the following functions in the body:

Normalization of blood pressure

Normalization of glucose and insulin levels

Elimination of inflammatory processes in the body

Regulation of the immune system

Also, massaging this point will help:

Improve digestion

Promote the healing of gastrointestinal diseases

Reduce the effects of a stroke

The positive effects of Tzu-san-li point massage can be felt not only on a physical level. Many people report that after the massage they became more self-confident, relieved of stress and tension and found inner harmony.

Longevity point massage

It is best to massage the point in the morning before breakfast, doing 9 circular movements clockwise on each leg.

Before starting the massage, take a comfortable relaxing position (sitting).

Calm your breath and focus on your feelings. Get ready to start the healing process.

You can massage the point with your fingers or use cereals (buckwheat, oats, rice) for this purpose

You can also place half of the garlic on this point and leave it for 1-2 hours until the skin turns slightly red.

A point massage in the evening is suitable if you want to lose weight by, say, 400-500 grams per week. But do not do this just before going to bed, as this can cause insomnia.

It is allowed to stimulate the point every day, but it is best to do this procedure during the new moon.

On the 8th day after the new moon, massage the point on each leg in the morning in a clockwise direction. This is the right time to strengthen the immune system, improve the functioning of all organs and slow down the aging process.

Do this procedure before lunch to improve overall tone, memory, and cardiovascular and digestive function.

After lunch, a spot massage will protect you from stress, nervousness and irritability, headaches and sleep disorders.

In the evenings, a counter-clockwise massage improves metabolism and promotes weight loss.
