However, the most expensive clothes were in this film, whose budget, paradoxically, is quite small by Hollywood standards — $10 million. In one scene in the film, where the heroines were in karaoke, the total cost of their outfits was $50,000.

In the book on which the film is based, you can hear the names of famous designers at every turn. The book also says that the suits are so expensive that special people were hired to protect them.

In addition, Kevin Kwan, the author of the book, told Time magazine that there is even a point in his work that presents the most expensive watch ever sold – Paul Newman Rolex Daytona.

In the film, however, the actors wear a lot of very expensive costumes. There are dresses from Valentino and Christian Dior, a collared dress from Alexander McQueen, and men's suits from Dolce & Gabbana and Versace.

It should be noted that designer William Travill was the designer of the spectacular pink satin dress. When he started working with Marilyn Monroe, he already had an Oscar for his work in the 1948 film The Adventures of Don Juan. Travilla has worked on the actress's costumes in eight films.

Initially, it was planned to make a more revealing dress, but due to the fact that Monroe had recently starred naked for the 1949 calendar, the designer was given strict instructions to make a less revealing dress, but one that makes everyone forget about the scandalous photo.

This is one of the most famous scenes in Hollywood history: Audrey Hepburn's character in her most iconic role, stepping out of a bright yellow cab onto New York's deserted 5th Avenue. She looks into Tiffany's window, in what is probably the most famous little black dress of all time.

After Hepburn's death in 1993, in order to continue her charitable work, the designer began donating items from his own collection to help disadvantaged children.

In 2006, a black dress designed by French designer Hubert de Givenchy was auctioned in London for £467,200 (about $590,000).

The black and white Edwardian lace dress with a black bow was designed by the legendary Cecil Beaton, who in this painting worked as a costume designer and art designer supervisor. Thanks to his work, he was awarded an Oscar.

It is worth noting that the dress was used during a musical act in which a girl performed by Hepburn first gets acquainted with social life. The dress (and hat) was sold as part of the collection of famous American actress and singer Debbie Reynolds, who collected more than 3,500 costumes from various films in hopes of creating her own museum someday. Surprisingly, even this outfit is not the most expensive in the world.

When costume designer William Traville chose a dress for Monroe, he had no idea that she would stand above the subway bars and this shot would forever go down in film history. The dress was so small that it couldn't be worn on a size 2 mannequin. It is reported that over time, this silky white dress has faded, becoming yellowish-brown.

All that was in these battles was her suit, and her airlock.

Ripley's slightly inflated and very white space suit from the first film was sold at auction for an impressive amount. Other items that appeared in the Terminator and Star Wars movies were also sold at the same auction. In total, about 2,000 different items were sold and about $6 million was raised.

It should be noted that the costume of the main character of Alien is John Mollo, a British costume designer who won two Oscars for best costume design. The first was for Star Wars. Episode IV: A New Hope” and the second for the film “Gandhi”.

After the film's release, a competition was held in the German magazine Bravo, in which Davis participated as a teenager hoping to win the grand prize, a Porsche 914.
