1) The bride's biggest wedding bouquet
The largest wedding bouquet was 60 meters in length and was made of 1,500 flowers. This unusual Indian couple's wedding took place on September 6, 2003 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

The bride's bouquet weighed 92 kilograms and contained 500 roses, 400 carnations, 60 lilies, 200 daisies and 340 gypsophila. In addition to flowers, there were yucca stems, cedar branches and grape leaves. Naturally, the bride could not carry such a bouquet alone; 79 bridesmaids and 47 best men helped her.

2) The biggest wedding cake
The title of the largest wedding cake went to a cake that weighed 6.8 tons and was made by the chefs of the Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino, which is located in Uncasville, Connecticut, USA. This cake was ordered for a wedding banquet that took place on February 8, 2004.

The cake tasted vanilla and was decorated with bows and hearts. To prepare it, it took: 4,540 kilograms of biscuits 2,180 kilograms of cream and glaze with vanilla and almond flavor. In total, this cake could feed 59,000 people, if, for example, everyone took a small piece. 59,000 people were not present at the wedding, so it's not clear where the half-eaten cake went.

Chef Lynn Mansel started making the cake on February 1st. With the help of 57 cooks, he baked a total of 700 vanilla biscuits, each measuring 45 by 60 centimeters. Then, using a cream, they created 200 bricks from 5 or 6 layers, which they then joined together. Each level of the cake was located on an iron shelf, and using a special lift, the cook lifted parts of the cake and decorations to each “floor”.

3) The longest wedding veil
The bride's longest veil was worn by Sandra Mechleb, who married Chadi Abi Yanis on October 18, 2009 in Lebanon. In total, the length of this wedding accessory was 3358 meters.

No one has yet managed to break this record, but some brides also chose a veil of incredible sizes. For example, Elena de Angelis from Casel di Princip, Italy, boasted a veil that almost lasted up to 3 kilometers at her wedding.

This incredible wedding dress was designed by designer Gianni Moraloiu. Hundreds of people held the veil. In total, at least 20,000 people attended the wedding ceremony!

4) The biggest underwater wedding
Underwater marriages have recently become very popular, and not only among divers. However, only one of them appeared on the pages of the Guinness Book of Records.

Franceca Colombi and Giampiero Giannoccaro married at Morcon Beach on Elba Island, Italy, on June 12, 2010. 261 divers were present at the “painting” under water.

5) The biggest dog wedding
The largest dog wedding in the Guinness Book of Records is considered to be the wedding that took place in Littleton, Colorado, on May 19, 2007. It was attended by 178 dog pairs.

Probably the most enjoyable treat for newlywed dogs at this wedding was the treat:

By the way, the most expensive dog wedding took place on July 12, 2012 in New York. It cost the hosts $158,187.26! All the “proceeds” went to charitable organizations.

6) An unusual wedding with a record number of girlfriends and best men
Bride Christa Rasanayagam was accompanied by 79 girlfriends aged 1 to 79 when Suresh Joachim had only “47" best men aged 2 to 63 years.

It took an incredible number of bridesmaids and best men to carry the bride's vast bouquet, which also entered the Guinness Book of Records.

7) The most unusual wedding dress with a record number of rhinestones
Designer Cosmina Englisian from Romania entered the Guinness Book of Records for creating an unusual wedding dress. Her unique wedding dress is adorned with 55,000 Swarovski crystals and pearls.

This dress weighs about 12 kilograms and was made using 35 meters of lace. This masterpiece of wedding dresses was estimated at $40,800 and was named “Crystal Dream”.

8) Oldest bridesmaid
No one can say exactly how old a bridesmaid might be at a wedding, but she's usually the same age as the bride. However, at Keira Harwood and James Lucas's wedding, the bridesmaid was 105 years and 171 days old.

Edith Gulliford was the oldest bridesmaid and entered the Guinness Book of Records. This unusual wedding took place on March 31, 2007 in Chatham, UK.

9) The largest number of marriages per couple
Lauren Lubeck Blair and David E. Hugh Blair married each other for the 101st time on November 11, 2011 in Nashville, Tennessee. Their first marriage took place in 1984.

The couple loves marriage ceremonies and the exchange of vows so much that they are ready to repeat them over and over again countless times.

10) Oldest couple to get married
François Fernandes (born April 17, 1906) and Madeleine Francinho (born July 15, 1907) can hardly be called “newlyweds”, although in fact they are. The couple registered their relationship on February 1, 2002, entering the Guinness Book of Records as the oldest married couple.
In total, they were 191 years and 126 days old at the time of marriage. The wedding took place when the bride was 94 years and 201 days old, and the groom was 96 years and 290 days old.

Another unusual marriage took place in 2011. Roz Pollard (90) and Forrest Lunsway (100) decided to get married without being so old. They met in 1983 while dancing and have been talking all these years, despite living 60 kilometers apart.
In 2001, Lunsway proposed to a lady, to which he received the answer: “I will marry you when you are 100 years old!” Roz had to keep her promise, although she did not expect her groom to remember her promise, much less live to be 100.

The wedding took place on the groom's hundredth birthday and was attended by 90 guests. By the way, Lunsway admitted that he had never led a particularly healthy lifestyle. He smoked for 27 years, drank whiskey regularly and loved junk food.
