Science
Graphene is considered a miracle material with unlimited possibilities.
In this regard, a group of scientists decided to use this material to develop thinner, stronger and more reliable condoms.
Scientists hope that a new type of condom will be able to stop the spread of HIV and AIDS.
A team of researchers from the University of Manchester has received a $100,000 grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to develop new composite nanomaterials for condoms generations.

The discovery of graphene
Graphene is a million times thinner than a human hair and harder than a diamond. This material was obtained only recently, in 2004. Russian scientists Game Andrey Konstantinovich and Konstantin Sergeevich Novoselov began to experiment with it, so special interest is riveted in it.

Since receiving the carafe, more than 7,500 patents related to this material have been granted, ranging from smartphones to computer chips. In addition, both scientists received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2010.
A team of scientists led by Dr Aravind Vijayaraghavan from the recently founded National Graphene Institute at the University of Manchester is currently conducting research, which will help develop new technology that can create composite condoms.
To succeed, they intend to create a composite by mixing graphene and an elastic polymer, such as latex, which is used to create condoms.

The properties of graphene

According to scientists, the new generation of condoms will be able to transmit natural sensations during sexual intercourse, which will help motivate even more people to buy them. At the same time, they will be elastic like latex and very strong.
It should be noted that graphene can be used to create batteries that can be charged within a few seconds. Applied Graphene Materials (AGM) is already working on a similar project.

The use of graphene
The entire scientific community, as well as representatives of the industrial sector, admire graphene for its amazing properties. This material has great potential and can make a pleasant difference in our daily lives.
Graphene is transparent, thin, lightweight (0.77 mg/sq. m), waterproof, flexible and incredibly durable at the same time. Graphene is currently the best conductor of electricity.
Its possibilities are almost endless:

* Hard drives that can store information up to 1,000 times the size of modern devices.
* Semiconductors that are used to build ultrafast computers.
* Flexible and ultra-thin screens.
* Night vision cameras.
* Ultra-long batteries for smartphones, computers and electric vehicles.

This material has a high electrical conductivity. Because it is transparent, inexpensive and non-toxic, graphene is ideal for creating contact layers in solar cells. Sunlight will be able to pass through these layers without loss.
