Rwanda is a small but very interesting and exotic country located in East Africa. Rwanda can be safely called a country of contrasts, because Pygmies and Tutsis live here — the shortest and tallest nationalities, hills interspersed with plateaus, and hills — with fertile valleys. The real treasure of Rwanda is its nature. Once equatorial forests almost completely covered Rwanda, today they are preserved only on the lower slopes of Virunga, and in the rest of the Rwandan hills you can see savannas, artificial groves of eucalyptus and arable land. By the way, despite the fact that Rwanda is an agrarian country, there are no villages in our usual form. This is due to the fact that individual families or several families settle on a hill, the name of which determines the territorial affiliation of local residents.
The glory of the country of thousands of hills, as Rwanda is also called for its characteristic landscape, was brought by unique nature reserves and amazing lakes. A trip to this magical country will appeal to those tourists who are interested in getting acquainted with the mysterious world of volcanoes and sparkling lakes, savannas and mountain rivers, national reserves with exotic animals, because the main attractions of Rwanda are natural resources.

Volcanoes National Park
There are 7 gorilla families living on the territory. The life of primates is monitored very carefully: each gorilla has its own name and photo in the census book, and the birth of a gorilla baby is celebrated by the whole world. In honor of this, the ceremony of Quita Izina — naming is held.

Akagera National Park
Akagera National Park is located in the north-east of Rwanda near the border with Tanzania. Its territory is 1200 km sq. The local landscape is a textbook African savanna with plains to the horizon and towering acacia umbrellas here and there.

Nyungwe National Park
Nyungwe National Park is located in the south-east of Rwanda, near the border with Burundi. It covers an area of 1000 km sq. and it is one of the last places in Africa where virgin mountain moist tropical forests of medium heights grow.

Lake Kivu
Despite the fact that Rwanda is located in the heart of Africa and has no access to the ocean, beach holidays are possible here — moreover, it is developed into a strong four. Lake Kivu is the only inland body of water in Rwanda, which this country shares with the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
