Some artists prefer to express their thoughts and emotions through paint, others use clay, and Nathan Sawaya does this using LEGO pieces.
He is able to create serious large sculptures from the small multi-colored LEGO bricks that children love so much that can convey many different emotions.
Savaya was the first to create such sculptures.
One such job can take him up to 2 years.
At his studios in New York and Los Angeles, Savaya stores more than 2.5 million LEGO pieces.
Nathan recently opened an exhibition in New York City. It's called The Art of Brick and the opening took place at the Discovery Times Square Exhibition Center.
It should be noted that the author himself decided to open the exhibition in New York after his works had already become popular in Singapore, Taiwan and Australia.
Lego exhibition
According to the organizers, this is the largest exhibition of so-called LEGO art in one place.
The exhibition features more than 100 sculptures created from millions of small plastic bricks.
The exhibition will run until January 5, 2014.
