Do you think only humans can be bitten by a snake? This is probably the case in most cases. However, sometimes a reptile also becomes a victim of humans.
According to Reuters, police in Sacramento, California, detained a man who attacked a pet python. According to local law enforcement sergeant Andrew Petit (Andrew Petit), the American, while intoxicated, bit a reptile.
David Senk, 54, a California resident, was arrested a couple of days after what happened.
Python received not only serious physical injuries, which required the intervention of surgeons. The reptile was very stressed. Now the animal is recovering from what it has experienced. Deep wounds are still being felt.
According to Senk, he was in a state where people were almost unable to control themselves. On that day, the perpetrator of the incident drank quite a lot of alcohol. While heavily intoxicated, he did everything that he is ashamed to remember now and that he really regrets. The man regrets what happened and admits that he has been suffering from alcohol addiction for a long time. According to him, drinking too much, he loses control and becomes uncontrollable.
The police officers who arrived at the crime scene saw the following picture: a drunken Senk was lying on the ground. His face was covered in blood. The owners of the reptile, being in a state of shock, told law enforcement officers that the man asked to hold a python in his hands. After they allowed it to do so, suddenly, for no reason, Senk attacked the animal and bit off two pieces of it.
According to the snake's owners, the python did not provoke the man in any way. On the contrary, Senk was aggressive. It all happened in a matter of seconds. The reptile owners couldn't even say anything. In hundredths of a second, a drunk man stuck his teeth into the snake and bit off two pieces. According to the police, they even thought he had swallowed one of the pieces. As the snake's owners admit, it was like a bolt from the blue.
When the bloodthirsty troublemaker was shown photos from the crime scene, he was surprised, to say the least. It was hard to believe that it was done with his teeth. According to Senk, he doesn't remember much and is shocked by the photos that prove his involvement in the crime.
However, the bully had the conscience to joke about this. “I'm certainly not a big fan of snakes. But I try not to bite them, most often they bite me,” the criminal commented on his act.
At the moment, an investigative experiment is underway. Python owners do not intend to leave the bully unpunished. According to the injured party, they will do everything possible to ensure that Senk gets what he deserves. The state prosecutor's office has already intervened in the case. Senk is currently under arrest awaiting trial.
