The Pyramid of Kukulkan
The ancient Mayan people who inhabited the Yucatan Peninsula in the 6th-12th centuries AD left a lot of riddles in memory of themselves. The largest is located in Chichen Itza – a pyramid dedicated to the god Kukulkan, the “feathered serpent”, the giver of knowledge and crafts.

Underground river Sak-Actun in Tulum
The underground river and the Sac-Actun cave system in Tulum is one of the most incredible wonders of Mexico. The second longest cave system in the world (after Mammoth in the USA), Sak-Actun has more than 300 km of caves, tunnels and passages, of which only 5 km are not flooded with water.

Cenote Ik-Kil
There are no rivers or lakes in Yucatan, but the Maya Indians have never suffered from drought. They were saved by cenotes — karst sinkholes filled with the purest fresh water. Giant natural wells were part of a brutal religious cult.

Surrounded on all sides by tropical forests, Uxmal, along with Chichen Itza and Palenque, is the center of attraction for researchers of the mysterious Mayan culture.

Shel-Ha
The Shel-Ha Ecological Park and Natural Aquarium is located right on the coast, an excellent place for leisure, which can be easily reached from the resorts of Yucatan. The Shkaret Eco-Archaeological Park is one of the popular entertainment attractions of the Riviera Maya. Everything here revolves around the Mayan culture — you can walk around the ruins of an ancient settlement, watch a Mayan culture show and take part in the national ball game.

Ek-Balam
The Archaeological Park of Ek Balam is a smaller but beautiful diamond in the crown of the Mayan heritage of Mexico. The city of the Black jaguar — this is how its name translates — is the only one of the Maya complexes where samples of decorative plaster carvings that once decorated all the buildings of Mayan cities have been preserved.
