Contrary to the well-known claim that sweets cheer you up, scientists have recently stated that sweet ladies are the first to suffer from frequent depression. Eating flour, candy and other delicacies that most of us are so fond of has an adverse effect on our physical and psychological well-being. Experts say that vegetable and fruit lovers are much less likely to be depressed.

But what about the popular belief that chocolate is a wonderful antidepressant? This may be true. But, according to experts, you will bring much more benefits to the body if you regularly and systematically eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Of course, sometimes it is not forbidden to eat chocolate.

Occasionally, pampering yourself with your favorite treats is allowed and even recommended. However, if you want not only to look good, but also to feel great, to be healthy both from the outside and from the inside, opt for plant-based foods, avoid starchy foods, and others high-calorie foods. And if the body requires sweets too often, it is better to replace the extra calories with the healthy glucose found in most fruits.

Depression? No way! Eat fruit
