Unbelievable facts
Would you rather live longer or be famous? A recent study found that actors, singers and athletes die an average of 7.5 years earlier than their peers in other areas of life.
One explanation for this may be the fact that stars often abuse smoking, alcohol and drugs.
Creative people who worked for themselves, such as writers, composers and artists, also had short life expectancies.
Australian researchers discovered this trend by analyzing an obituary of the famous New York Times, which included the names of rich, successful, and famous people.
An analysis of 1,000 death reports showed that deaths at a young age were most common among those who devoted their lives to the stage and sports.

The average life expectancy of performers, including actors and singers, was 77.1 years. In contrast, businessmen, politicians, and military men lived to an average of 80 to 83 years. Writers and other creative people also did not live long — 78.5 years.
A study of causes of death found that early deaths were most often due to accidents, infections, including HIV, and certain types of cancer.

Death from lung cancer, which indicates prolonged smoking, was most common among those who devoted their careers to the stage.
Scientists suggest that celebrities may indulge in too much pleasure, which then leads to self-medication, or psychological pressure contributes to self-destruction during life.
