Scientists have found that panda's blood produces the strongest antibiotic that kills bacteria and fungi.

This discovery will help create new treatments in the fight against infections resistant to antibiotics and other diseases.

The antibiotic is produced by the immune system of giant pandas, protecting them from infections in nature.

The substance in panda's blood that has antibiotic properties is called cathelicidin-AM. This compound acts very quickly, killing dangerous bacteria within an hour of use. The other antibiotics used in the experiment did not work until 6 hours later.

Dr. Xiuwen Yan, who conducted the study, explained that compounds in panda blood have powerful antimicrobial activity against a wide range of bacteria and fungi.

Scientists have already been able to create a synthetic version of this material in the laboratory.
