Health

Fruit is one of the healthiest and most natural foods necessary for the human body to exist. Few would deny that fruits should be an integral part of every modern person's diet. And this is not surprising, because fruits, like vegetables, are the most important source of carotene and vitamins, in particular vitamin C. Vitamin C helps maintain the functioning of the human immune system, and also contributes to the production of collagen, a protein that is one of the main elements that contribute to bone health tissue, teeth and connective tissue. This protein also contributes to the absorption of iron, which is absorbed by blood from various foods. As an antioxidant, collagen helps to curb the aging of body cells. It is noteworthy that the human body itself is not able to produce vitamin C. This means that we have to fully rely on our diet, in particular, as mentioned above, on vegetables and fruits. However, we often forget about an alternative source of vitamin C — fruit juices.

Juices are better than supplements

Fruit juices contain a large amount of vitamins that are formed in these drinks quite naturally. In addition, juices contain minerals and various phytochemicals of plant origin, which are also a necessary source of health for our body. Scientists have been able to prove that regular consumption of fruit juices is a more acceptable alternative for the body than taking dietary supplements that offer a separate set of different microelements and vitamins. In other words, juices are more beneficial to health. Indeed, freshly squeezed fruit juice is just as healthy as the raw fruit itself. Moreover, it is very convenient to take vitamins in this way, since a glass of this juice contains the amount of vitamins and minerals that our body should receive daily.

Fruit juices are extremely low in protein and fat, but they are an excellent source of energy that the human body draws from natural fruit sugars, i.e. fructose and glucose. Despite the fact that the presence of sugar in food and drinks is very often considered a negative phenomenon, it must be remembered that sugars are a source of carbohydrates, that is, the main a source of energy that each of us draws on a daily basis. In other words, there is no need to look for ways to avoid consuming all types of food and drink that contain sugar. You need to look for ways to organize your diet in such a way that your diet consists of a balanced combination of all the necessary micronutrients.

Low glycemic index

The great advantage of fruit juices, which allows the human body to extract a large amount of energy, is that natural sugars (especially glucose) are characterized by a low value for such an indicator as the glycemic index. Low-glycemic foods and drinks are extremely useful when it comes to weight control, particularly for people with diabetes. In this case, sugar is released much more slowly in the human body.

In addition, fruit juice is a very economical and convenient source of beneficial plant-based antioxidants. These are substances that can withstand the harmful effects of oxidants (oxidants) and free radicals in the human body. Some antioxidants are produced in the human body, while others come there with food, in particular vitamin C. Generally speaking, the greatest amount of antioxidants is found in fruits that have the brightest color (black currants, red grapes, blueberries, cranberries, etc.), as well as in green leafy vegetables. Apples are a good source of antioxidants. Of course, this is not the time for most vegetables and fruits, but you can easily provide your body, which is hungry for vitamins during the long and cold winter, with the necessary micronutrient set if start drinking a glass of fruit juice every day.
