The Royal Flower Park is the kingdom of tulips. Lilac, pink, yellow, white, red — here you will see buds of all shades and various varieties. The park covers an area of more than 30 hectares. Just imagine: more than 30 hectares of flowers, greenery and ponds on a well-groomed territory! It is not surprising that a million tourists come here in the spring season — in fact, the only time of the year when the park is open.

The famous flower parade is held annually in the Netherlands. Huge platforms with whimsical figures of flowers pass along the route with a length of about 40 kilometers. Their path passes next to the garden — to catch the column, you will have to leave the Keukenhof for a while.

How to get. There are trains from Amsterdam and Rotterdam to Leiden Station. From there, take the bus to the park itself. On the official website, you can profitably purchase a complex ticket, the price of which includes a visit to the garden and a transfer to and from it.

When to arrive. Keukenhof works several months a year, in the spring. In 2019, for example, from March 21 to May 19. Every year the dates are shifted because it is not easy to predict the weather.

The parade of flowers this time will be held on April 13, but next year the date may change again. Information for visitors is available on the official website of the parade.
