An amazing discovery of the largest animal that once lived on the planet was discovered in southern Patagonia.
The bones found include a neck spine 1 meter in width, a human-sized femur, and ribs the size of large planks. This is the most complete herbivorous titanosaur skeleton ever found.
This type of dinosaur is so huge that researchers named it the “unsinkable battleship” (Dreadnoughtus schrani), after battleships in the early 20th century. There were no barriers for such battleships.
Titanosaurus
According to the size of the bones, it is assumed that the dinosaur weighed about 60 tons and was 26 meters long from head to tail. Based on its size, it can be concluded that this is the largest land animal.

Colossal animals lived about 77 million years ago in the temperate forests of South America.

Its body weight is comparable to that of ten African elephants or the weight of seven tyrannosaurs.
The first remains of this titanosaur were discovered by accident in 2005. Gradually, archaeologists dug up more than 100 bones from a small collection of fragments. The bones are surprisingly well preserved, and the animal itself appears to be stuck in quicksand.
Argentinosaurus

Another giant prehistoric animal, Argentinosaurus, was probably of comparable size. However, this is only known from the spinal muffs found in the tibia and a handful of bone fragments. Argentinosaurs, which lived 80 million years ago, weighed a paltry 16 tons compared to titanosaurs.
Dinosaur world
We present the most interesting dinosaurs that once inhabited our planet.
Camarasaurus

His remains have been found in North America. It is a herbivorous animal with a long neck that has 20 tons of fun. Camarasaurs were distinguished by their social character and lived in huge herds 150 million years ago.
Celophysis

Celophysis bones have been dug up by the thousands in New Mexico. They were carnivores that lived about 15 million years ago.
Ankylosaurus

The ankylosaurus was an armored herbivorous dinosaur. To date, more than 40 fossils of these animals have been found in South America that lived 15 million years ago.
Hypacrosaurus

This is a genus of platypus dinosaurs whose fossil remains have been discovered in the US and Canada.
Massospondyl

Massospondyl was a breed of relatively tiny herbivorous dinosaurs. Their nesting sites have been found in southern Africa and have provided a lot of knowledge about the behavior of these animals.
Psittacosaurus

This dinosaur belongs to the horned family. Psittacosaurus is between 120 and 100 million years old. The animal was relatively small (about 90 kg).
Saltasaurus

The only specimen of Saltasaurus was found in Argentina several decades ago, and is of great interest to paleontologists.
Shantungosaurus

Shantungosaurus is the largest land animal in the history of the planet, which moved with only two legs. The animal weighed about 15 tons and had about 1,500 tiny teeth in its mouth, which crushed abundant vegetation.

Sinosauropteryx

Sinosauropteryx was found in China, which caused a real sensation. The discovery is 20 million years old.
Therizinosaurus

The main feature of this dinosaur is its 70 cm long claws, but Therizinosaurus was a herbivore.
