Cathedral of the Sacred Heart
The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart is a temple of the Catholic Archdiocese of a wonderful place called Kota Kinabalu.
The structure took the place of a building that was erected in 1953. Due to the irreparable damage, it was decided to reconstruct the entire structure of the old building from beginning to end, since it was not an archaeological or historical value of the city. Therefore, the preservation of the old building did not even make aesthetic sense.
The current building of the Sacred Heart Cathedral impresses with its beauty and aesthetic taste. Also, the elegance of the bell tower, whose height is about 40 meters, impresses with its beauty.

Deer Cave
Deer Cave is the largest cave in the world and the main attraction of Gunung Mulu National Park. Once upon a time, hunters of the Penan and Barawan tribes drove deer into the cave, which, in fact, was the reason for this name.
The largest cave in the world would easily accommodate five churches of St. Paul or 20 Boeing-747 aircraft in its immodest dwelling (scientists estimate that it is 2 km long, 150 m wide and 80 to 120 m high), but so far the apartment has been occupied by bats in the amount of 3 million individuals. The massive evening departure of the folded-faced leads the audience into wild delight. Therefore, the time when mice fly into the jungle to eat is a favorite time of many tourists.
Inside the Deer Cave there is a river in which there are translucent fish and cuttlefish that have lost their sight due to constant darkness. There are also colorful stalactites and stalagmites.
And one more thing: when you enter the cave, do not forget to look back – in the contour of the cave you can see the famous profile of Abraham Lincoln.

Sources of Information
Poring Hot Springs are located 40 kilometers from Kinabalu Park and are considered healing springs that are very popular among locals and tourists. The roads on the way to the springs are simply magnificent: wooded soaring mountains rise above the asphalt.
The water in the springs is not just hot, it is boiling water, which has to be diluted with cold water so that you can sit in the springs. To do this, water from the springs is collected in small baths. The water smells of sulfur and has a cleansing effect. Green trees and gazebos around create a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere.
Next to the baths there is a pool with ice water, which creates a great contrast. Entry for foreigners is three times more expensive than entry for locals, but visiting the springs is worth it. Toilets and changing cabins are located on the territory of the springs for the convenience of tourists.

Many animals live in the caves, including a huge population of cockroaches and bats. Inside the caves, high above the arches, there are nests of swifts, whose eggs are very valuable. Outside the caves there are eagles, snakes, kingfishers, Asian bluebirds.
The caves can be reached by boat, swimming across the bay, and then driving 16 kilometers by jeep through the jungle. At the entrance to the cave there is a village, the inhabitants of which remove the nests of swifts several times a year.
