Coca-Cola, one of the giant corporations on the planet, will be unceremoniously expelled from Bolivia. This statement was made by Bolivian Foreign Minister David Choquehuanca, who stressed that the date of “exile” (December 21) was not chosen by chance, it coincides with the end of the cycle the Mayan calendar, the end of capitalism and the beginning of a new culture of life.

This day was chosen to create an occasion to celebrate the beginning of a “new life” that will take place in the southern hemisphere on Sunny Island near Lake Titicaca. “December 21, 2012 will come the end of selfishness and division. On December 21, Coca-Cola will end and the era of local soft drinks will begin,” the Foreign Minister said at a political rally. “There will be a parade of planets after 26,000 years… capitalism will end and communitarianism will begin,” he added.

Mayan calendar

The Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012. But many people believe that this will not be the end of the world (and I would like to believe that this time there will be no suicides). The end of the Mayan calendar marks the end of a 26,000-year cycle, and implies the beginning of a new one.

One way or another, whether this will be the end of the capitalist—monetarist model we see today, or not, remains to be seen: the one that destroyed full employment and replaced it with an endemic one unemployment, which destroyed universal free education and turned it into a business that produces simpletons for generations who, after 12 or 13 years of schooling, in total do not know how read, write and whose mental and arithmetic ability are zero.

This is exactly the model of functioning in most modern societies that has destroyed free healthcare and turned it into a business. This is a system where there are no job guarantees, where street safety is uncertain.

As for Bolivia, they have taken a crucial step, and one can only imagine what health benefits it will bring to the nation not drinking Coca-Cola. One bottle contains approximately 50 mg of caffeine. At the same time, 20 mg is considered quite sufficient to actively stimulate the central nervous system, gas (carbon dioxide) is addictive, and the color of the drink is as a result use of the E-150 supplement.
