Useful tips

The Easter wreath is a symbol of the sun, a symbol of happiness and joyful life. Before this bright holiday of resurrection, hang a handmade wreath on the door – it will bring warmth and comfort, peace and reliability to your home.

Since ancient times, wreaths have been hung on doors to attract good luck and bring happiness to the house. With its round shape, the wreath symbolized unity and warmth, as it resembled the sun in shape.

Easter wreaths are made from artificial flowers, eggs, cardboard, felt, yarn, artificial moss — completely different ideas and completely different wreaths, each unique in its own way and carrying the power of Easter.

In this article I will tell you about a simple way to make a wreath of willow branches using pencil glue and dried flowers.

So we'll need:

willow branches

dried flowers

chicken eggs (5 pieces)

moss

small decor

wire

twine

raffia (for the nest)

hot gun

scissors

Instructions:

Before actually making a wreath, it is necessary to prepare the eggs: take raw eggs, gently knock out a piece of shell with a needle, pour out the internal contents through the resulting hole eggs, wash the eggs and leave to dry.

In a couple of days, your decorative eggs will be ready (for a change, you can paint them with ordinary paint in different colors).

As a decor, you can take dried moss, decorative birds and other artificial ornaments – for example, bows, artificial flowers, ribbons, confetti, etc., that is, everything that will be beautiful look on your basis.

Now let's start making the base of our wreath: we take willow branches (3-4 for a start), turn them into a circle and start braiding the wreath using the technique in the picture above.

Cut off the extra branches of our future wreath with scissors, tie the edges with thin wire so that an even circle of branches is obtained without unnecessary knots and irregularities.

We continue with the next 3-4 branches and proceed according to this plan until your wreath is the right size, or until the branches run out.

You should get such a smooth and beautiful base.

Carefully cut off all knots and hitches with scissors to the smooth and even surface of the wreath, carefully so as not to destroy the very structure of the wreath and, overdoing it, not to spoil its appearance: sometimes The best is the enemy of the good.

Do not forget to tie the edges of the wreath with wire so that it does not spread.

Now we take our pre-prepared decorations (moss, birds, eggs, dried flowers) and glue them with pencil glue to the wreath one by one, trying not to sculpt everything in one place, leaving the rest the wreath is empty — here you can let your imagination run wild and create something of your own, unique and creative.

It's done! We hang the wreath with twine on the wall (be careful, sometimes one nail can not withstand such a light-looking wreath) – and your festive Easter miracle is ready to delight guests, friends and loved ones!

The glue gun, if you do not have it at home, can be replaced with double-sided tape or a stapler – the main thing is to do everything carefully so that you can't see what the material is holding on.

If you are too lazy to look for artificial flowers, toys and ribbons in stores and around the house, you can simply go to the nearest park, collect cones, beautiful branches and flowers that have already blossomed, and make them accessories for your wreath. So your decoration will not only be festively bright, but also environmentally friendly.

Instead of willow or other branches, if you can't find them, a cardboard base or thick metal wire is quite suitable – the main thing is to choose jewelry thoroughly, and then no one will notice your little trick.

If you are weaving a wreath of branches, tie them tightly with twine after each woven row so that they do not crumble at the end, putting an end to all your efforts. If you don't have enough twine and you want to use it to hang a wreath, replace it with simple threads, just make sure they don't break as soon as possible.

Before weaving live herbs or flowers into the wreath, rinse them thoroughly and dry them so that they are free of street dust, insects and other external irritants that cause your wreath may not be as beautiful and fragrant as we would like.
