Valencia is the capital of the Valencian community and a major resort on the Mediterranean coast of Spain. Valencia is very popular among foreign tourists and young people: people come here to enroll in universities, study at business schools and language courses, work and, of course, just relax.

Most of the beaches of Valencia are well equipped: there is a rental of sunbeds, umbrellas and sports equipment, there are sports and playgrounds, showers or fresh water pumps, toilets, as well as convenient access via ramps for strollers, animators, rescuers and there are emergency points. And, of course, near the beaches you can almost always find numerous bars, cafes and restaurants.

Central Beach of Valencia – El Cabanal / Las Arenas
El Cabañal / Las Arenas Beach (Playa del Cabañal / Playa de las Arenas) is the central city beach of Valencia, the most popular and the busiest. Sports competitions, festivals and concerts are regularly held on this beach. Every year he is awarded the Blue Flag – the highest European mark of purity and quality.

The length of the beach is 1.2 km. It originates near the port and stretches north to Malvarrosa Beach. Nearby is the city embankment – Paseo Marítimo, there are parking lots, public transport stops and taxi stands.

Valencia Beach for families with children – Malvarrosa
Malvarrosa Beach (Playa de Malvarrosa) is a large sandy beach located next to Las Arenas and is almost an exact copy of it. The length is 1.8 km . There are many sports fields on this beach, there is a rental of sun beds and umbrellas, and there is even a beach library.
Malvarrosa also has a convenient gentle approach to the sea, but, unlike the neighboring Las Arenas beach, you can always find a free place here without huddling with other vacationers and not making your way to the water over your heads.

Along the Malvarrosa beach there is also a city promenade with numerous bars, restaurants and shops. There is an excellent children’s play area on the beach itself, so families with children often prefer to relax here.

Valencia beach with modern infrastructure – Patacona / Alboraia
Patacona / Alboraya Beach (Playa de la Patacona / Alboraya) is another urban beach adjacent to a new, rapidly developing area. It borders Malvarrosa Beach, being its natural extension. Being at a considerable distance from the center, it is not crowded, which is more a plus than a minus.
As for the infrastructure of the beach, it, like the area in which it is located, is new and modern: there is an embankment with bike paths, playgrounds and sports grounds, rental of sports equipment, sun beds and umbrellas, as well as parking. Patacona Beach is also considered the cleanest city beach.

The semi–wild picturesque beach of Valencia – Pinedo
Pinedo Beach (Playa de Pinedo) is a semi–wild, sparsely populated but quite picturesque beach located in the southern suburbs of Valencia near the Albufera Natural Park and a strip of sand dunes.

This beach is never busy, but despite the lack of infrastructure, many people choose it for their rest – for silence, tranquility, privacy and cleanliness. There are several good fish restaurants near the beach, which are popular with locals and tourists.

Valencia beach with good infrastructure in Albufera El Saler Park
El Saler Beach (Playa del Saler) is also located on the territory of the Albufera Natural Park. Clean and secluded, it is, however, more comfortable to relax, than the nearby L’Arbre del Gos beach. And all because it has rental points for sun beds and umbrellas, as well as surfing equipment. Lifeguards work on the beach, there are a couple of restaurants nearby.

New Valencia beach in Albufera L’Arbre del Gos Park
The beach of L’Arbre del Gos (Playa de l’Arbre del Gos) was opened to tourists not so long ago. It is located on the territory of the Albufera Nature Park and, unlike Pinedo, has a good infrastructure, including an ambulance station, rescuers, wheelchair ramps and toilets.
Right next to the beach begins a strip of sand dunes, between which bike paths are laid. Recreation here can be combined with sports, but you can’t have a delicious lunch – there are no restaurants nearby.

Valencia beach with low traffic in Albufera – Garrofera Park
Garofera Beach (Playa de la Garofera) is another beach on the territory of the Albufera Natural Park. Clean, with good infrastructure and low congestion, it has only one drawback – it is located far enough from the center.

Wild and beautiful Valencia beach in Albufera Devesa Park
Devesa Beach (Playa de la Devesa) is another beach that cannot be overlooked. Wild, but very beautiful, it stretches 5 km along the Albufera Park. Eco-friendly and completely unspoiled by civilization, this beach attracts tourists from all over the province.
Dunes, the sea, pristine beauty – what else do you need for a person tired of the city noise? There are still a minimum of amenities on the beach: ramps, toilets and fresh water pumps.
