Everyone knows that there was no sex in the Soviet Union. However, it is definitely available in Russia. And proof of this is the first sex museum that has recently appeared in the capital. According to The Guardian, the first sex museum with the very telling name Point G has opened in Moscow.
The museum is a collection of quite interesting exhibits. According to an article published in The Guardian, here are Soviet-era condoms, a huge number of drawings describing and glorifying spanking (corporal punishment in the form of a series of slaps on the buttocks with the palm of your hand or other flat objects that imitate the palm of your hand). Of course, there are some elements of sadomasochism in this.
A painting that shocked museum visitors
But the most important exhibit, without a doubt, is the painting “The Struggle” by artist Vera Donskaya-Khilko. According to many, the picture is somewhat scandalous. It depicts the presidents of the once opposing countries of Russia and America. Putin and Obama stand face to face. It is obvious that the leaders of the two world powers are preparing to fight, and they have chosen hypertrophied penises as their weapon.
The article contains a clear hint of the superiority of the Russian president. Putin is depicted with two penises, one of which is red and the other is green. And there is an explanation for the artist's strange choice: Putin's two members are symbols of hyperpotence. In general, the artist calls the Russian leader the Gray Cardinal. It is not surprising that most people gather around such a frank picture.

In addition to the scandalous canvas, the museum also features paintings depicting various orgies, other paintings with frank and sometimes shocking scenes, and sculptures of copulating animals. Of course, it goes without saying that entrance to the museum has age restrictions. Here you can also see old condoms, English phallic amulets of the 20th century, as well as inflatable women familiar to modern men. Rubber dolls from around the world are presented in a huge range.
The Sex Museum is a project about freedom
However, as Alexander Donskoy, founder and director of the museum, says, this is not just a sex museum, it is primarily a project about freedom. The idea to found such an unusual museum came to Donskoy quite unexpectedly. According to him, there are many museums of various types and themes. But there has never been a museum dedicated to sex in such a clearly conservative country as Russia is undeniably. After weighing all the pros and cons, Donskoy decided to take a risk and open an unusual exhibition. It took him a long time to find relevant and relevant exhibits.

The Guardian writes that it is obvious that Donskoy's goal is provocation. He is more concerned about restrictions on human freedoms than the very attitude of Russians towards sex and everything related to it. Donskoy believes that it is very difficult for people who grew up and brought up on Soviet ideology to perceive such things.
In addition, religion plays a huge role in modern people's worldview. One of the reasons for the rejection of freedom is that Russian Orthodoxy filled the void left by the communist ideology that permeated Soviet society. This ideology has for a long time simply filled the mind of a Russian person.

The museum also has a sex shop where everyone can buy goods on relevant topics. Here you can find sadomasochistic dolls, flip-flops decorated with female breasts, various role-playing outfits, such as stewardess, Amazon, female railway workers and nurses. According to Donskoy, the uniforms of tax inspectors and prosecutors are in high demand among buyers.
This is a peculiar element of fetishism, since it is these law enforcement officers who cause the greatest fear. A large number of people want to see this unusual exhibition every day. Every resident or guest of the Russian capital will be able to visit the museum.
