Incredible facts

An ocean research team led by Swedish expert Peter Lindberg discovered what some eyewitnesses believe are the remains of a flying saucer. Lindbergh's team, famous for successfully finding sunken ships and cargo, used sonar to search for a ship that sank more than a century ago, carrying very rare champagne. Instead, they were said to have discovered a mysterious round object whose origin was extraterrestrial.

Lindbergh explained to local media and described what they were ours at 300 feet deep somewhere between Finland and Sweden as follows: “It was a big circle, about 60 feet in diameter; in his work I've come across a lot of strange things, but I've seen this for the first time in 18 years of professional experience.”

Adding even more mysteries to the whole story, Lindbergh added that he saw some rifts on the ocean floor, suggesting that maybe the object he found might have somehow moved through ocean floor. It is not yet clear what exactly caused the stir: a report made by the team or a video of the echolocation scan of the object, but the Swedish tabloids and the Internet on the day this news was announced are only about this and talked. Some believe that the object found is nothing more than an extraterrestrial flying saucer, although many explanations look very ridiculous, since the faults found on the site may also be quite natural formations, and the sunken object can be simply round man-made antiquity.

Lindbergh's claims that the object is “perfectly round” may not be true, since he made it only based on sonar information, whose monitor resolution is not high enough to verify that the object is actually in perfect shape. Just like the faults found near the object: they may have nothing to do with it and may be nothing more than a natural process.

Lindbergh himself does not talk about the extraterrestrial origin of the find, but he suggests that it could be a “new Stonehenge”. This isn't the first time a sunken object has been shrouded in mystery. For example, look at the famous underwater mystery “Bimini Road”, rocks located in the Caribbean Sea near the Bahamas that resemble a road or a wall. Many conspiracy theorists then argued that rocks were too perfectly shaped to be natural, so they were either made by people who belonged to an unknown person civilizations, or are a relic of the lost city of Atlantis. In fact, geologists later discovered that the unusually shaped blocks were still created by nature.

It's also worth noting that UFOs may not be saucer-shaped. The famous statement about a “flying saucer” (this is how a UFO was first described) later turned out to be a mistake.

Lindbergh stressed that his team has neither the interest nor the resources to further study the anomaly found. Deep ocean exploration takes a long time, and this process is not cheap. If the object is really a flying saucer, it could cost millions or even billions of dollars to restore it. On the other hand, if it's a natural formation, it's probably just a waste of time and money to study it.
